IN THE PORT OF SINT MAARTEN

I hope I never get or even sound jaded - "been there, done that, got the t-shirt" - but I have been to

Sint Maarten/ St. Martin five times, have taken 4 tours and was content today to walk around the harbor.

There are SIX cruise ships here today, two of which have more than 5,000 passengers.

MIDGARD TUG - just like Bremerhaven

UNFORTUNATELY, THE BEST PHOTO I COULD GET DURING HEAVY WEATHER

THE LINES FOR THE WATER TAXIS HAD AT LEAST40 PEOPLE IN EACH -

it was too hot to wait.  Three days before we had been in New York with winter

temperatures and it was too great an adjustment for me, and several others.

LEAVING NEW YORK ON THE WAY TO THE CARIBBEAN

But, first - I experienced a thunderstorm on the night of the 19th of January 2023 but could not find anyone else on the ship who had heard it.  Well, I wasn't dreaming:

And finally, NEW YORK, NEW YORK

The pictures somehow loaded in reverse order!  And, the internet connection is very insecure right now, so I will not try to reverse them.

One of my favorite shots from the tv.  There is a ship at the end of the red line but I was not able to capture it.
